Broker's Comments
There’s always a market for these solid and dependable little cruisers. Built at a time when British boat builders were still coming to terms with GRP, and didn’t know what the thickness of the hull could safely be, their solution was to use a thick lay-up, just to be sure. And then, another layer or two, just to be on the safe side. The result is a very strong, comparatively heavy boat that is stiff underfoot and substantial enough to last the years. This one is a particularly well-maintained example, but is being sold as the current owner needs a boat that is a little larger. I must make particular mention of the fact that she was re-engined a couple of years ago. At the same time, the owner had the shaft, propeller and couplings replaced, together with the fuel tank and exhaust system. He also replaced the aging electronics with modern instruments, GPS and DSC VHF radio. Imagine what that lot would have cost, subtract it from the asking price, and then form an orderly queue to have a closer look.
