Broker's Comments

Foxhounds make nice little cruisers. They also make nice little racing boats. They do both, but after a little while the owner’s priorities become clear. So this is a racing Foxhound, then. That’s not to say that it can’t cruise; this one does. It’s just not been its main purpose, and it shows a bit, in the absence of some creature comforts that would inevitably have brought with them a bit of a weight disadvantage. Such as a table. And the upholstery has had a bit of a hard time. And the heavy old butane gas hob is in the sail loft. No inboard engine either (much too heavy), though there is an 8HP outboard and a spare. On the other hand, there is a full suit of cracking sails, with lots of spares, and this boat has been raced very successfully. Going faster than the others brings its own compensations.
