Broker's Comments
Sometimes, you have to ask yourself what you want to get out of your boating, and how much you’re prepared to pay for the pleasure. If the answer to the latter is: “Not too much,” and the former involves having a comfortable boat by a premium builder that will be fast, safe and have accommodation big enough for a family weekend away, then we may have the boat for you. First, it’s a Fairline, so it’s got good breeding. Second, accommodation levels are good, with a mid-ships cabin tucked beneath the cockpit, and a saloon for four or more that quickly adapts to a generous double berth. There is a separate heads, and a small but adequate galley. A removable canopy shuts out the elements in the cockpit, and a demountable table can be quickly erected there or in the saloon, if preferred. Yes, the single outdrive duo-prop is driven by a petrol engine, but a diesel alternative would increase the purchase price by about £4000, which will buy a lot of fuel. And this is all available for less than five figures, which seems like fun boating on a budget to me.
