Broker's Comments
This is a very interesting boat, and a great opportunity to own something unique.
Bought as a sail-away in 2016, the owner's intention was to fit out the boat using the latest electrical equipment making the boat completely self-sufficient and then use the boat as a 'show home' to promote his construction business. With a change in direction of both the business and family needs, the project was never quite completed.
So now there's the opportunity for someone to take over the project, complete the boat and end up with a truly magnificent home, capable of being totally off-grid. Electrical power is delivered by either the engine, the generator, or the domestic batteries, all automatically switched according to the demands made on the system. Heating and cooling are via a heat exchanger and heat-store, keeping the boat warm in winter and cool in summer using the difference between the water temperature and air temperature.
Needless to say, everything is designed to be super-efficient.
Mechanically the vessel is practically unused with just 48 hours on the engine.
All the hard work has been done, it just requires some creative interior design to make this boat the envy of the Thames.
The boat does not have a permanent mooring and is in the vicinity of Windsor. BSS due to be renewed.
