Broker's Comments
The Westerly GK29 (half ton) is an economical, fast cruiser racer. This particular example looks to be in good overall condition for her year and has been well maintained. The current owners now feel that their growing family dictates the need for a larger boat.
On stepping aboard I was struck by how much room there is both above and below decks. The cockpit is very large for a 29 footer and has plenty of stowage space. This is due to her relatively wide beam. Below decks is kept fairly basic, as this GK is the half ton racing version, but again there is masses of room for a boat of this length. She has a total of seven berth, two of which a children's.
The GK29 has a high freeboard which means she is a dry boat in all but the heaviest weather. All lines are led aft for short handed sailing. This boat would suit someone looking for a versatile boat, suitable for extended family cruising and club racing .
