Owner really keen to sell

Boatshed Portsmouth are very pleased to be offering this Westerly Seahawk 34 for sale.
She is in good condition and boasts new standing rigging in 2013, another of her unique features is the fantastically sized cockpit tent (see pictures below) it really does create a whole other room.

We asked the owner to tell us about sailing her...

I have had a lot of fun in her. She is a strong boat which I have occasionally tested and never had any worries. I have 8.5 Kts on a beam reach. I can normally get 5 – 6 in reasonable conditions. I have a large genoa which is good for light winds and also have a Cruising Shute. I find when you get to the top end of a F4 close hauled you need to reef the genoa early.

She is a little beamy which makes her comfortable, so sailing into wind could be better. I chose her originally as she is a really good compromise between a fast sail and a safe family boat. In terms of speed times distance. I have regularly gone to Cherbourg from Gosport in 12 Hrs
