Broker's Comments
Boatshed Essex are delighted to present this wonderfully unique Stenson, Replica Dutch Barge. Launched in 2000, the vessel has excellent space, design and fit throughout. There is acres of stowage and living space provided by the side decks, foredeck and coachroof, which includes a purpose made bimini for when shade is needed. In side the boat, the wheelhouse features panoramic views, opening windows and and an attractive wood finish. From here, the spacious engine room is accessed, which includes a small workshop area and a tool for every conceivable job. Moving into the boat's interior, is a spacious galley, with a range creature comforts, ahead of which is a saloon area that is best described as roomy, light and cosy. Moving further forward a corridor to the forward cabin has the heads (in this case, bath, shower and toilet) to port. Finally, the forward cabin provides a king size bed, fitted units and is heated by one of the boat's numerous gas centrally heated radiators.
This was a delightful vessel to visit, explore and feature. It has been intelligently thought out to maximise the boat's potential performance, reliability and comfort. The boat's mechanical and electrical systems have been neatly installed and organised and similarly well maintained and cared for since. The accommodation feels more like a traditional home, than a boat. There is excellent headroom, the wide beam provides width of rooms and the overall feel is one of a comfortable home afloat. The boat has been prepared to provide this comfort either in hot Mediterranean temperatures or cooler winters, found in Northern Europe. In summary, if you are looking for a comfortable home afloat that also has the capability and track record of cruising coastlines and inland waterways, then this boat should be considered. It would make an ideal home, platform for cruising, holiday getaway or a combination of each. If you would like to know more, or organise a personal viewing, please contact our office and we would be pleased to help you.
