Piper wide-beam barges are a perfect option for cruising the larger waterways of the UK and Europe.
They are very popular as live-aboard homes and give trendy waterside apartments a run for their money as an alternative to expensive urban living.
This wide beam barge is very attractive and she looks as good as new. The accommodation is bright and airy and well appointed. The fit out is bespoke and of excellent quality. This lovely barge has all the luxuries you would find in a house and has a very happy feel to her. She is currently moored on a nice location which we are advised could be available for the next owners. London is easily accessible by train and there is a fast service to St Pancreas and the Suburbs line to London Bridge.
Current mooring fee's are £300 p/m which includes electric and water. Council tax is £80 p/m but only payable if you are a resident. There is also an ISA broadband line and red diesel available for heating/hot water onsite. Private parking is also available! This particular barge looks immaculate. Her owners that we do like the easy way that she manoeuvres, so easy to handle in tight spaces. She is also very stable, her beamy dimensions give great steadiness even in coastal waters.
We both like the community spirit that exists in people who live on the canals, it is quite unique. She has a lot of living space and together with her ample storage space she makes a very comfortable home.
