As you can see, the engines appear to be very well-maintained, easily accessible in soundproofed compartments to minimize their noise. Power is not lacking with 125hp per engine while maintaining a reasonable consumption of 5L/H per engine at 10 knots, according to our owner's statements.
The steering is ensured by a hydraulic system.
There are also two Volvo water seal glands installed on the two 35mm propeller shafts.
Electrical:
We have 4 batteries of 100Ah, one dedicated to each engine and two for the service. They are recharged by the 80W solar panel, the engine, and the shore power connection.

You enter the boat through a spacious terrace where you can sit sheltered from the sun under the bimini that can cover the entire terrace laterally. The height under this bimini is 1.73m. The wide swim platform and the rear swim ladder allow you to swim anywhere and get back on board easily.
Next, you enter the saloon-galley area, with a headroom of 1.90m at its highest point.
This boat is practically a Sedan, with only one step between the saloon and the cabin. Storage spaces are not lacking, as you can see in the photos and videos. A hot water tank provides onboard hot water. There are hatches everywhere providing access to the boat's bilge and its equipment, making maintenance easier.
The cabin bed is spacious, measuring 76cm at the foot and 1.96m wide at the head, with a length of 196cm. This allows you to sleep widthwise and avoid rolling when the sea is rough. There's a headroom of 1.22m under the bed. The sink tap extends to allow you to take a shower in the toilet area.

Broker's Comments
Boatshed Midi Canals is pleased to present to you this almost 40ft Sedan type twin engined Motor Cruiser for sale.
Escapade 35 for sale in the south of France.
Here we have a boat designed for sea cruising (Cat.B) but also well-suited for canals due to its low draft and air draught . Our owner's goal in building this boat was to achieve the same fuel efficiency as a sailboat while traveling at twice the speed. Our owner assures us that at 10 knots, this boat only consumes 5 litres per hour per engine.
Our owner is no stranger to boat building as this is actually the second boat he has constructed. It's rare to find bilges as clean as these; one can sense the meticulous care our owner (an aeronautical engineer) has put into the construction and maintenance of his boat. Some professionals couldn't have done better.
With passages to Sicily and Corsica already under her keel, this Escapade 35 has proved to be a comfortable and economical coastal cruiser that will allow you to fulfil all your travel plans on Europe's coasts and inland waterways.
She is currently dry-stored in a hangar near the Canal du Midi.
