Finish | Paint finish |
Maple Bay Boat Company built solid, traditional small trawler yachts from 22' to 32'. Our boat is based on the 27' model and features a larger cockpit with a round fantail transom. The design features a flush deck forward of the wheelhouse and salon which allows for standing headroom forward and a great sense of space inside. The design echoes the historic Lake Union Dreamboats and the type of boat Muriel Wylie Blanchett made famous in her book "The Curve of Time."
The boat is painted, and the green hull requires touch up and buffing to bring out the finish.
Ballast 2600 pounds:
Easy access to fuel tanks with clean out ports;
Snake River Electronics holding tank monitor;
Cobalt Autometer Digital voltage meter;
Teleflex SeaStar II hydraulic steering;
Electronic corrosion control system with monitor
Length overall 32 feet.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

This hard to find small trawler design from Maple Bay Boat Company makes for an ideal coastal cruising boat for Pacific Northwest waters with simplicity, economy, and comfort in mind.
Simplicity: The engine uses a dry stack exhaust to reduce maintenance concerns for engine cooling. The boat has dual helm controls for docking from the cockpit or pilothouse. A clean Dickinson Bristol diesel stove provides for cooking and cabin heating. All fuel tanks have clean out ports and all tanks and valves are easily accessible along with the engine through large floor hatches for maintenance and repairs.
Economy: A single 35HP Isuzu diesel engine pushes the boat at 7 knots using only one gallon per hour. With 75 gallons of fuel aboard the range is over 500 miles, more if you cruise at a lower speed.
Comfort; The interior is designed in many ways like the popular Ranger and Nordic Tugs small trawlers. A comfortable salon includes the helm and passenger seating in this pilothouse design. Forward, a very large v-berth with filler cushion and a marine head compartment with shower provide for privacy. With a fresh water capacity of 120 gallons and a 44 gallon holding tank you can stay away from marinas and explore remote areas in comfort.
And, for safety and pleasure in voyaging you will find reliable electronics including a Garmin multi-function chartplotter and linked Garmin autopilot plus a 16 mile Raytheon radar at the helm.
If you've been thinking of buying one of the better known used small cruising boats like the Nordic Tugs 26 or Ranger Tugs 27, our Maple Bay 30 represents a really great value and is worth investigating now.
