A Katwijker style Dutch barge built in 1914 in Boot Alphen Holland. The 4,65 meter beam gives good live-aboard volumes.
A wooden floor deck terrace is fitted out forward of the wheelhouse and accessed by four steps from the side deck.
The engine room is situated under the wheelhouse and accessed from the aft deck via the workshop store. A mini crane supports a dinghy with oars included in the present offer.
The wheelhouse is accessible by two side doors and has a tarpaulin cover over the roof.
Two diesel tanks are installed but only one (starboard side 500 litres capacity) is used. This tank has an inspection cover. The 8000 litre fresh water tank is installed under the floor.
Last dry docked in October 2016 for hull renovation and new antilfoul, engine hold is now repainted and new diesel pipes have been fitted. TRIWV certification being obtained in 2017.

The wheelhouse has U shaped seating and a dining table (seating for 6) which converts into a double bed. Good visibility and a focal point of the vessel for accompanying the captain, eating meals in inclement weather or just lounging with a good book.
5 steps down from the wheelhouse to the sizeable galley with an electric oven, 4 burners gas hob, a refrigerator-freezer, an extractor fan. The hot water is supplied by a 220v water heater and from the engine heat exchanger whilst cruising. Lots of worktop space storage and cupboards make this a cooks delight and with 2m of headroom it's not cramped either. All the culinary utensils and the dishes remain aboard.
The comfort of the saloon owes so much to its volume and its luminosity, especially as the low windows mean you can see the light and reflections on the water from the saloon and all the cabins. The diesel stove is not functioning at present.
Going forwards from the saloon there is a small cabin with 2 beds (80 X 190 cms). Opposite there is a toilet and, separated, a bathroom with bathtub and washbasin. Headroom of 1,80 m for this cabin and the saloon.
Right forward is a second cabin with a central double bed (140 x 190 cm). A washbasin and storage
The forepeak has been converted into a double cabin and is completely independent with separate outside access. Warm wood everywhere gives the whole boat a warm and cosy feel.
The wheelhouse is very well ventilated thanks to its side doors and its opening windows giving onto the front and the back of the boat. The deck terrace is an appreciable relaxing area and equipped with tables and garden chairs.
Pictures, photos, paintings and other decoration pieces are not included in the sale.
2 WC, 1 vacuum flush 1 manual.

Broker's Comments
Boatshed Bourgogne is pleased to offer this residential Dutch barge for sale in France which has obtained her TRIWV in 2017.
A live aboard barge of sensible proportions her impressive beam makes for spacious accommodation. With lots of natural light and wood finishings the atmosphere is soft peaceful and charming, especially as the low windows mean you can see the light and reflections on the water from the saloon and all the cabins. An interesting feature is the independent access (from starboard side deck) to the forward cabin, this area could lend itself to separate guest accommodation or even office use.
The sizeable wheelhouse makes for convivial cruising and also serves as a “conservatory” lounge in less clement weather.
An ideal floating cruising home for enjoying French and European waterways. I think the best testimony for her is that she has been in the same hands for the last 27 years and our vendors have lived aboard and cruised extensively throughout that time.
