Broker's Comments
This Dick Sambler Custom Trawler has come a long way since her current owner found her. She was bought as just a hull and engine, and has been built from the bilge up. With many fixtures and fittings found from other classic vessels and antique shops, real thought and feelings have been put into her design and finish.
The hull is believed to have been finished in 1999, but was never used. It only splashed for the first time in 2009.
The current owner is using her very happily, and although there are still projects to finish, she is seaworthy.
As you wander through the interior, at no time do you feel like you are on a 48' boat. With head room of nearly 6 1/2', and large airy rooms and cabins, this is boating in comfort.
The Detroit 671 engine has been totally rebuilt, and only has 24 hours on it. She starts first time, and doesn't miss a beat. Set in a very spacious engine room, maintenance is a breeze.
With a raised cabin house, views from the bridge are spectacular. In the cabin areas, there are currently two spacious cabins forward, with the availability aft for another with space enough for an en-suite and plenty of storage.
This beautiful trawler, an eye-catcher in any harbor, is looking for someone to complete her last few projects, and do some memorable passages and adventure seeking.
