Broker's Comments
I am very pleased to be able to offer to the market an incredibly rare, privately commissioned (year 2000) Sheerline 1260 (Alpha 42).
This boat was a special private commission for an owner who was a wheelchair user and the boat was designed and fitted out with this aspect in mind.
The beautiful and quality Sheerline oak fit and finish is everywhere, and the boat has extra wide doors and companionways to accommodate a wheelchair user. That said, this unique design only enhances the fit out making the boat both spacious and very easy to move around. This boat has always been in private hands since new and appears to be presented in excellent original gelcoat and benefits from the double "Targa top" sliding two-piece roof over the saloon.
As per all Sheerline boats, the workmanship, materials and finish is second to none and this boat exudes quality and style.
She has very low hours on her pristine Nanni Diesel engine of just 724 running hours and starts and runs as she should having been serviced only 4 running hours ago. She enjoys a large 8kw Eberspacher heating system that heats the entire boat. The current owner has invested a huge amount in upgrading her systems to include full, large capacity solar power installation with Victron charger and inverter and lithium batteries at a cost of well over £7k.
The boat has a quality bow thruster too for simple manoeuvring. She also enjoys a Valid Boat Safety Certificate to March 2024, and its 2022 broads toll paid. Her galley to port has a Waeco fridge and a separate under counter freezer and the whole galley is very usable and well equipped.
The current owner removed the standard divan bed from the aft cabin and made this area a very comfortable, spacious and relaxing aft lounge. The change can easily be reversed by re-fitting a standard divan bed should you wish to revert to a large aft cabin bedroom and not the wonderful extra living space the way she is currently configured. The mid cabin is a very large single but could also be lightly modified to make this an extendable double. The forward saloon seating converts to a comfortable double. The twin sliding roof sections makes the forward saloon a wonderful place from which to enjoy the rivers while opened up to the sun, and offers great deck access and flexibility.
The current owner bought the boat to live on most of the time and has now bought a property so the boat is no longer required. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a unique and high quality broads cruiser that has been very lightly used.
This really is a quality vessel and has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
