The vessel benefits from a walk-in engine room that can be accessed either from lower floor or side deck. This vessel came to her current mooring powered by her Grunty Caterpillar engine. She also has a periscopic bow thruster. Much expense has gone in to new wiring throughout with 12, 24 and 415v systems with battery charger and inverter. These are capable of utilising the addition of solar panels if desired. There is a door to another cabin aft that is currently a workroom. There’s a new boiler that currently serves the captain's quarters for heating but has the capability for the rest of the vessels cabins. She also has a large bank of lithium batteries and modern water pump. A galvanic isolator has been added.

A Dutch Cargo vessel, originally would have run on steam engine - but Caterpillar installed circa 1970. She motored across to UK to deliver equipment for the 2012 London Olympics. She was driven from Tilbury to her current location in 2017. Refitted 2017. All hull interior sides striped back, red oxided and sealed. Owner has regular blacked the exterior on the mud and has kept on top of the decks. The raised deck aft of the wheelhouse would be next on to do list.

Broker's Comments

These boat details are subject to contract.

This fabulous Dutch Cargo Barge has been so sympathetically fitted out by her current owners who have lavished thousands of pounds in creating a wonderful home. This vessel would also lend herself to being a hospitality vessel, a profitable rental, either via room let or as a floating hotel. The possibilities are endless for this authentic Dutch Barge. She has a wonderful Mooring with Panoramic views (currently £1176/month. This is strictly a residential mooring.

The self-sufficient, independent captain's quarters are very charming, well planned, equipped and laid out.
