Tjalk, Dutch barge built around 1912 last surveyed in 2014. Much work undertaken in 2015 when our vendors bought the vessel. Hull sand blasted and repainted, bow thruster installed, new rudder made and fitted engine overhaul. Bills to prove.

From the wheelhouse descend 4 steps forward to the saloon. Forward of the saloon and one step down is the galley separated from the saloon by a high “breakfast” table. Central heating to radiators from diesel fired boiler is installed although the system is not working thought to be due to a faulty circulation pump. A corridor on the port side leads first to the double guest cabin with its bed 140cm x 190cm. Next is the heads with manual WC, shower & washbasin. Forward is the main cabin with its 150cm x 195cm double bed with storage space and a BEKO 5kg washing machine (new in 2014). The persin style carpets made to measure for the previous owner in Afghanistan and Iran are included in the sale. The timber floor is Burmese Teak.
