This lovely Dutch Barge was built c1894 as a Klipper sailing barge and registered at Duisburg-Rhurort on 21st October 1899 with the number 6936. Converted to a motor-barge during the 1920s, she continued to trade throughout the Netherlands. A surviving log book records coal delivery journeys to such places as Gouda, Nortdstern and Arnhem throughout 1946 and 1947.
In 1975 she was converted to a residential barge and brought to England in the early 1990s.
In 2005 her Lister 40 diesel engine was replaced by a modern 180 HP Kelvin RS6 turbodiesel engine /gearbox, and a modern four-bladed propellor.

The old Lister engine had a huge fly-wheel and a brass MOD plate, and originally drove a generator for an anti-aircraft searchlight. It is now on display in a museum in Chatham, Kent.
She is a sea-going Dutch Kilpper Barge. On a rented mooring in a quiet village on the Kent marshes but within easy commuting distance of central London. Approx £1330 per quarter.
This is a lovely traditional Dutch Klipper Barge that is very well appointed, spacious, bright and airey. The current mooring may be able to be rented out to new owners subject to approval of the mooring owner. She is located in a tranquil area which is a local beauty spot. She has been dry docked, surveyed, blacked and engine serviced September 2020.
