I have just bought my yacht through Boatshed Portsmouth. Despite the ongoing restrictions of COVID, Sam made it an absolute pleasure to do business keeping me updated and informed throughout the process by phone and email. No question was too difficult and she dealt with all aspects from the owner, marina and surveyor through to arranging lift out for inspection. Sam was key to the successful sale of my Dehler 35. I was looking for a premium price for my highly-specified, well-maintained and lightly-used yacht. She made me renew some features, I wrote the web site details, she conducted some viewings, and I conducted others. I always felt it was likely to sell to an international buyer, and so it proved. One buyer committed to purchase subject to viewing, but subsequently was unable to come to the UK due to lockdown. Sam then introduced another foreign buyer, who offered an improved price. At the last minute, they also could not come to the UK due to COVID. But Sam set up a video viewing for me to ‘show’ the yacht to the buyers. They liked what they saw enough to complete the sale without actually seeing the yacht. Selling internationally is complex, but Sam really knew how to close and cement a deal that is comfortable and safe for both sides. She is committed, tenacious, good fun to work with, and highly recommended. Well done Sam!

When Boatshed decided to take “Tickymint” on, there was no going back. The boat is 40 years old but does sport a new engine...as does a 1000 others. Most people don’t sell a boat very often so don’t know the ropes. Most people aren’t dispassionate enough to price their boat to sell. Most people don’t live close to their mooring so showing people around the boat can be difficult. Most people don’t have marketing skills and an easily found, well thought out website. Most people, if they think it through, would use Boatshed to sell their boat. I did and it worked beautifully. Many thanks to Samantha and her team at Gosport. A job well done!
