Broker's Comments

Immensely successful in their heyday in the sixties and seventies, there are still lots of SCODs around, with a dedicated following. Designed by Charles Nicholson in 1955, his brief was to "produce a cheap, seaworthy, fast one design with good cruising accommodation" designed to be cruised but also raced on an equal footing regardless of depth of purse. More than 100 were built, and the overwhelming majority are still in use. This 1965 example appears to be in pretty good condition, and benefits from the installation of a new Beta 13.5 diesel in 2010.
